The staff were friendly and helpful. I MUST say. they were really nice too.
i was VERY disappointed that breakfast was included in the price, all that was provided was a small amount of sliced bread to toast, some yogurts, cereals and a few pieces of fruit. THERE was no cooked breakfast on offer at all, not even scrambled eggs. i would certainly expect a more substantial breakfast.

the staff were quite helpful and friendly. the bed in my room was comfortable i think. lucy gave us such a friendly welcome and introduced me to locals we enjoyed a spoof with.
the common stairwell felt a bit shabby honestly.

the staff were cute (especially lucy). they accommodated our request to move from the bowling alley dining area to the main restaurant. the rooms are basic but had everything we needed and felt cosy during our october stay.
breakfast included only a small amount of sliced bread, some yogurts, cereals, and a few pieces of fruit. there was no cooked breakfast available.

the hotel is community owned and community focussed. the bar and restaurant are busy in the evenings, serving as a gathering place for villagers. the village of halse is picturesque and quiet with beautiful walks nearby.

the staff communicated promptly ahead of our visit and welcomed us warmly. the host was smashing. in-room tea, coffee, and biscuits were a nice touch. the staff were friendly.
