a community treasure!
cute staff cosy room
the staff were cute (especially lucy). they accommodated our request to move from the bowling alley dining area to the main restaurant. the rooms are basic but had everything we needed and felt cosy during our october stay.
breakfast included only a small amount of sliced bread, some yogurts, cereals, and a few pieces of fruit. there was no cooked breakfast available.

i ate in the restaurant with amazing food and a great atmosphere. the menu offered great choice, including vegan dishes. food was fresh, plentiful, cooked and presented beautifully.

the hotel is community owned and community focussed. the bar and restaurant are busy in the evenings, serving as a gathering place for villagers. the village of halse is picturesque and quiet with beautiful walks nearby.

the staff communicated promptly ahead of our visit and welcomed us warmly. the host was smashing. in-room tea, coffee, and biscuits were a nice touch. the staff were friendly.

friendly staff varied menu peaceful location
the staff were super friendly and helpful (they even helped me with my luggage!). the evening food menu had many options. the location offers a peaceful retreat away from the city noise.

clean room proper coffee sliced bread missing staff
the room was very clean and comfy it had proper coffee. restaurant food was excellent i liked the light bites.
breakfast included only meant sliced bread for toast i found this disappointing. i also noticed there were no staff members at all during the night which wasn't very reassuring

the room was beautifully decorated. the staff are friendly. tea and coffee was in the room and i found biscuits, it was nice. the room was presented well.
the breakfast offered only a small amount of bread for toast. there were some yogurts available. i saw cereals and a few pieces of fruit as well.
